365 Vintage Days: 144. African theme in turquoise, black and brown

This is the same novelty print skirt as the one presented on May 11th, but in different colours: turquoise, black and brown this time, worn with a brown sweater top, turquoise plastic jewelry and black purse and wedges. This skirt is from the vintage market at the Hemsby R’n’R weekender in the early 2000s and the top is probably from the same place at the same period. The black suede wedges are from Paris and purchased in the early 90’s, probably for the vintage shop Mamie (which still exists Rue de Rochechouart). These wedges are now in poor condition for being used a lot but they have played a great role a ”evening’s second pair of shoes”, the ones that you put on when you feet are swollen, legs tired and you want comfortable footwear instead of the real fancy (and often uncomfortable) evening shoes. The turquoise plastic charm bracelet is from Debbie’s vintage stall at either the Rockabilly Rave or the Rhythm Riot weeekender in the UK, in the late 90’s. I do not recall the origin of the loop earrings or the black purse.
