Happy New Year to all!
For us, the year started very nicely at friend’s place near Turku, in the southwest of Finland. Great people, good food, fantastic cocktails and of course, fireworks! Just a pity it was raining so the snow melted.
On New Year Day, I was wearing one of my favorite felt skirts: a lovely pumpkin orange with black, lime green and gold tone appliqués representing a woman’s head and hands and scallopped hem. I have also worn this same skirt at the Halloween party in Helsinki (it has such a perfect color for Halloween) and a couple of other occasions but never got good pics to post on this blog. Now I had the perfect setting with my friends’ tiki statue.
I also had a black wool sweater, a leather belt, and ankle boots, a patent leather bucket purse, with orange lucite handle, together with black, orange and lime green bakelite bangles and orange bakelite loop earrings.
I purchased this lovely skirt from Boss Vintage, at the Viva Las Vegas weekender last spring. The black sweater is a very recent acquisition, from the vintage flea market at the Rhythm Riot weekender in November. The purse is from an Antique Mall in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and bought in August. The belt is a present from my friend Laurence.
You look adorable as always. Happy New Year!
Thanks! and Happy New Year to you too!
Je te souhaite une bonne annee et mes meilleurs voeux pour 2013!! 🙂

Merci! et Bonne Année!
I LOVE felt circle skirts. I wore my 1950’s Snow White skirt to the Viva Car Show! Love your style. So well put-together.
A pity I did not see you at the car show but there was such a crowd. I also love felt skirts and just bought a couple of cool ones from LA and from VLV… I am looking forward to wear them soon 🙂
