On the 10th of August, Helsinki enjoyed the visit of the original 1950’s Rock n’ Roll artist Jack Scott, for a gig at Virgin Oil. For the evening, I chose to dress pretty casually and comfortably, but smart, with a green gabardine pencil skirt; a dark blue rayon blouse, with green, white and red prints; dark blue belt, heels and purse; and red and green bakelite jewelry.
We took a couple of pictures at home before heading to the city center, and then a few close-up pics at the venue. Unfortunately, in the meantime, I had lost part of one bakelite earring, and thus took them both off. This is something that happens sometimes and is always very annoying.
Despite of this, we had a great evening: Jack Scott had a fantastic show and was backed by top musicians , the venue was packed with friends, and the last band – Fat Boy from Sweden – was not bad either, although not my favorite.
I purchased the skirt from a vintage shop in Portland in spring 2012, the belt and the blouse are from Boss of Denver (spring 2013). The heels are from the Brooklyn flea-market in October 2011. The bangles are from various places in the US. The earrings were from the Long Beach Flea Market. The purse is from Apparel from the Past, in Baroda Michigan, last September.
Wow what a green colourd skirt. Nice shape and funny printed blouse. I like how the buttons stops a bit down and finishes with a nice tie collar
Thanks Madde!
Dommage.
PS: Je viens de t’envoyer l’adresse…
