365 Vintage Days: Tragedia and Comedia

I am in a middle of a felt skirt fever and I have been purchasing 4 new ones during the past couple of months. And wearing felt skirts ”all the time”. Hence, be prepared to see a few of them in my next posts. The first of my new acquisitions is a dark grey felt skirt with a red tragedia mask and a white comedia mask and red, yellow, green ribbons. I wore it early October at the Oilers’ flea market in Helsinki, together with a yellow sweater, a red belt, purse and balerinas, red loop earrings and a gold tone and red charm bracelet, with comedia-tragedia mask charms.

I purchased this skirt on etsy mid september and it had just been delivered a few days before the flea market. The sweater is also from etsy but is a much older acquisition. The charm bracelet is from the US, probably from an antique mall, last spring. My red purse is an ebay find, dating back years ago. My red leather belt is from Rainbow Vintage’s stall at the Viva Las Vegas R’n’R weekender.

365 Vintage Days

365 vintage days was a bet and a challenge. From March 2011 to March 2012, during 365 days, I published every day a new post with a different vintage outfit and had you witnessing the challenge. I love your style!
I wonder where I can bay a vintage cone formed bra.
I live in Sweden and I am used to buy on e-bay. Do you have any recommendations?

      Thanks Désirée!
For the bullet bras it is difficult to give any specific recommendations… I have bought mine in vintage shops in Finland (e.g. Play it again Sam in Helsinki or VintagEija’s in Turku/Åbo), with the possibility to try them on and buy dead stock (I think both are essential when buying bras). Now, I know which make, size and models fit me and I could more easily buy on line but I still prefer to buy in shops. There are some repros around too (yet, vintage ones fit me better). I also know of a shop called ”V-Male Detroit” that sells a lot of vintage underwear (the shop is located in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and they also sell at the viva las vegas weekender). Hope this helps 🙂
