With one Fintage-colleague we once discussed how Finns turn everything into museums. We sure love history! It´s all around us and usually well preserved and treasured. Last Saturday I found a new piece of local history. This old ferry has stood in Kulovesi for a couple of decades and yet I´ve missed it. The ferry was still in use in the 70’s.
Below´s what I wore. The outfit was a bit different than what I usually wear at countryside. Reason for the skirt and heels was a thrifting and antiquity event in Hauho. That is a different side of us Finns loving our past. It´s great that tradititions and memories are adored (more for us vintage-nuts to buy and love!), but these days some people understand all things old as antique or vintage. And the words antique and vintage justify very high prices.
Nevertheless this was a great summer day!
